Your role will be to help Healthwatch Thurrock ensure that it listens, and learns from the voice and experience of children and young people.
You will be part of Young Healthwatch Thurrock, a young people’s group that will help Healthwatch Thurrock by:
- Helping to influence our work that aims to make health and social care services better for young people and children.
- Be involved in projects to gather views about young people’s and children’s experiences of health and social care services.
- Help advise Healthwatch Thurrock and other services how they can be more ‘child and young people friendly’
- Acting as a role model for young people’s involvement by helping us to talk to and listen to other children and young people.
Meetings will take place in The Beehive, Community Resource Centre in Grays. If you can’t attend in person there will be other means available to contribute virtually.
Support and training from Healthwatch Thurrock will be available to help you with this role.
It won’t cost you anything to volunteer with us – there will be refreshments and food at most of our meetings.
