Healthwatch Thurrock have been highly commended in their project that reached out to survivors of sexual abuse to make sure their experiences helped inform the future approach of local services.

Healthwatch Thurrock’s Sexual Violence and Abuse Services Report brought together not only data, but also the voices of individuals that told of the importance of specialist services.  Recognised in the category of “The Impact we make with Partners”, the award celebrates the skills, benefits and collective impact of a Healthwatch team when working with partners to deliver a project that supports improvements to health and social care services. This includes working with other local Healthwatch or sector organisations.

The team at Healthwatch Thurrock are dedicated to helping residents shape, improve and change services in the borough.  This award further demonstrates the importance of a local Healthwatch but also how much of an impact is made if local voices are heard.
